2 substantial family dwellings located within Alderley Edges Green Belt.

NORTHERN was appointed to obtain planning consent for a replacement home and new infill dwelling on the site which the family have occupied for over 40 years.  

The new dwellings are contemporary in form but use traditional materials such as cheshire red brick, timber cladding and white render to root them within their context.

The internal layout of the new homes is contemporary with a large open plan kitchen, dining and family living space to the rear, which benefits from framed views over the Cheshire Green Belt. Both properties provide 3 double bedrooms with an additional master suite.

The clients background in Landscape architecture meant that the existing site was wonderfully planted with mature and varied foliage. The two new homes were sited to cause as little intrusion to the existing planting.

The proposal was awarded planning and is currently being developed during the technical design stage of the project.
