A substantial family dwelling, which required a complete overhaul.

NORTHERN was appointed to transform the existing property into a new 5-bedroom family home. The objective of the project was to connect the new living spaces to the existing garden and views over the Cheshire countryside.

Two stepped, gable forms project off the back of the existing dwelling, providing a new open-plan kitchen and family living space on the ground floor. Two additional bedrooms were added above, including a large master suite that benefits from framed views over the garden.

The existing garage has been removed and replaced by a new single-storey side extension to house the property’s new garage and utility space.

To the front of the property, the language of the extension continues, providing a new cantilever canopy, which frames the dwelling’s new entrance. The existing entrance has been relocated to allow for a new study and WC.

The property has been transformed into a large, luxury family dwelling in the well-sought-after suburb of Styal, Wilmslow.
